SHOW PREVIEW: INTERTEXTILE SHANGHAIIntertextile Shanghai, China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories, opens its doors again today, October 18, with more than 3,000 suppliers from 23 countries and regions. The tradeshow is covering mass to luxury apparel fabrics and accessories, presenting the f/w 2012/13 trend forecasts. The show runs for four days at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre with an exhibition space of 150,000sqm.
Altogether 13 halls accommodate two halls dedicated to accessories and trims, three international halls featuring country and region pavilions (Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the UK and Spain) as well as fibre group pavilions (Cotton Council International, Hyosung, Invista and Lenzing). The remaining halls feature domestic exhibitors who are divided into product end use such as casualwear, denim, sportswear, etc.
Moreover, about 30 seminars are taking place on topics like design and trend, market information, technology and solutions. There will be a few product presentations by four companies introducing their latest innovations. Compatible to the latest discussion about resource efficiencies in the textile sector, there will be a ‘Planet Textiles conference’ on sustainability.
