SHOW PREVIEW: ECO-FASHION WEEK – GREENSHOWROOM & THE KEY.TO, BERLINThe two events GreenShowroom and TheKey.to do away with the strait-laced eco look. GreenShowroom is being presented for the third time in Berlin in the context of the Fashion Week from January 19-21 in the Hotel Adlon, and will showcase international, sustainable and luxurious fashion and lifestyle designs – including the labels Banuq, Christina Krämer, JEM, Lana Natural Wear, Mühlmann, Obra, Royal Blush, Spirit of Oil, and Studio Ecocentric. “In 2011, we will be focusing on seasonal appearances in Berlin. In addition, in 2012, we are again planning to present international GreenShowrooms in Paris and also in New York for the first time. We are also considering other destinations,” the founders Jana Keller and Magdalena Schaffrin explained. As a highlight, selected collections will be presented on the catwalk in the salon show and will be on sale to visitors at the new Greenshop, separate from the order collections.
While the GreenShowroom is positioned in the ecological luxury segment, TheKey.to has established itself primarily with eco casualwear. In line with the motto “conspiracy”, the green fair will open its doors from January 20-22 in a new location, the Columbia Halle, across from Tempelhof Airport. Around 60 exhibitors are expected on 2,500 square meters (27,000 square feet) of exhibition space. In the exhibition areas The Kitchen, The Bakery, The Nursery and The Magazine, the designs will range from classic eco brands or urbanwear to kidswear or fashion avant-garde. In addition, accessories and lifestyle products from the eco-scene will be presented in The Gallery. Workshops held by experts round off the event programming once again.
