New brands, new spaces, new judges at the upcoming tradeshows in Copenhagen.

Preview Copenhagen TradeshowsThe Copenhagen Fashion Week and all tradeshows that will take place during the 7 – 10th of August 2013 are just around the corner. That means its time for a short preview about what is going to be new or different this year, from previous editions.
Gallery International Fashion Fair CPH runs August 8 – 10th, 2013 and has just announced a number of additional new exhibitors that will attend the tradeshow. Amongst them are; 7 For All Mankind, Silent by Damir Doma, Le Fix, Elka, Cinzia Araia, Brooklyn We Go Hard, Billionaire Boys Club, Roberto Collina, Whyred, A.Friend by A.F. Vandevorst, Les Deux, Marville Women, HAN KjØbenhavn, Etudes Studio, Anne Sofie Madsen, Ann-Sofie Back, Moonspoon Saloon, WLG by Giorgio Brato and Zarah Voigt. In addition to this Gallery International Fashion Fair CPH will hold for the first time an international buyer’s preview at the old Copenhagen stock exchange one day before the fair starts. The event will allow buyers to get a brief preview of 60 Scandinavian brands, which have been selected by Stylist Jodie Barnes.
Vision tradeshow will present over 40 new brands and 25 new and upcoming designers at Lokomotivværkstedet. “We are proud to present new brands at VISION including David Andersen, Elise Gug, Munthe plus Simonsen, InWear and Whiite, the Polish high end designer Lukasz Jemiol, German Annette Gørtz, Italian Twin Set, the Portuguese White Tent, Swedish Twist & Tango, Norwegian Line of Oslo and Soul Made from the Faroe Islands and many more,” says Christina Alfthan from Vision. In addition to this, more than 25 designers have been handpicked to exhibit in the DAWN area that is specifically dedicated to promoting new and upcoming talents. The Designer’s Nest platform that Vision created in 2003 for new talented Nordic designers to show their collections will also present a new panel of judges. The new jury consists of fashion blogger Pernille Theisbæk as new President of the jury, David Andersen, Julie Fagerholt, designer Heartmade, Paola Suhonen, designer Ivana Helsinki and Margrethe Dal Thomsen, purchasing director, Magasin du Nord.
The Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) scheduled for August 8 – 11th at the Danish capital’s Bella Center will also present new developments. “We are currently working on so many projects which will not be completed until 2014. For example, a brand new area for handbags and accessories plus the make-over of the Fashion House, with a grand reopening dated for early 2014,” says Kristian W.Andersen, CIFF fashion and design director. “Besides this, we are working on pop-up showrooms: an innovative one-stop business solution for international fashion brands, agents and PR agencies who want to promote their brands.” There are a number of new brands in the portfolio, including LesDeux, Ganni, Lollys Laundry, HUB, Groa, Bjørn Borg and Michael Tawadros. “The Crystal Hall will be presented as part of the upcoming CIFF again, with 25 luxury sportswear brands showing their collections,” says Janne Villadsen, CIFF communication manager. Working together with the high-end fashion magazine Dansk, CIFF will be showcasing a new Trend Area for the first time. The Trend Area will highlight four to six Danish brands and their designs.
