New Copenhagen fair

16 Mar. 2012

As reported in October, CPH Vision and Terminal-2, Copenhagen’s two main fashion fairs are going to join forces. Now a few further details about the new concept have been released. The augmented trade show shall run under the name “Vision” and take place in Lokomotvvæerkstedet, an early 20th century industrial building close to Copenhagen’s city centre, which had already been home of Terminal-2 since its launch in 2009.The fair premises will be divided into the following six areas:

- Pure (premium collections of the region’s leading contemporary fashion brands)
- Seek (high street brands catering to a young, style-savvy crowd)
- Dawn (design talents and emerging brands selected by the Vision team)
- The Boiler (street and urban fashion brands)
- Free (denim and sportswear oriented brands)
- Private (independent brands with an artistic, conceptual approach)

As a novelty, Vision will give exhibitors the opportunity to create their own individual showrooms within the 20,000 sqm building or outside in the 4,500 sqm park area. In the concept paper, published on the trade show’s web site, the fair organizers appear confident: “We believe that Vision will become a groundbreaking aggregated platform for the latest developments in fashion and culture. We believe it will ensure that Copenhagen continues to be the market leader and preferred fashion destination in our region.”

Vision’s first edition will take place in August 2012; no fixed date has been announced yet.
