With effect by January 1, 2012, Marliese Kalthoff enters the editorship of trade magazine TextilWirtschaft that is published by the Deutscher Fachverlag (dfv) located in Frankfurt/Main. The 47-year-old joins long-standing editor-in-chief, Michael Werner, and will be in charge of the business news coverage, at first in the position as substitutional editor-in-chief, and, from July 2012 onwards, in the position as editor-in-chief.

Marliese Kalthoff succeeds Jürgen Müller, who will leave the company by the turn of the year to meet a new career challenge. With the appointment of Marliese Kalthoff, the dfv brings back an experienced journalist and communication expert who had started her journalistic career at Lebensmittel Zeitung, also published by dfv, in 1991, after having graduated in political science, economics and German philology at the University of Bonn. In 2004, she switched to the private enterprise and most previously held the position as Director Corporate Communications/Public Affairs at Hamburg-based Edeka Group.

The Deutscher Fachverlag is one of the largest independent professional information providers in Germany and Europe with subsidiaries in several countries. The wide range of publications includes more than 90 different titles for 14 business sectors.
