KARL LAGERFELD LICENSE GOES TO ITTIERREKarl Lagerfeld B.V. and Ittierre have signed a partnership for producing and distributing the pret-à-porter collections designed by the German designer Karl Lagerfeld under a five-year licensing agreement. Starting from the f/w 2012/2013 season, the new men’s and women’s collections Karl Lagerfeld Paris will be offered worldwide.
Pier Paolo Righi, President of Karl Lagerfeld BV, declared: “We are satisfied with the agreement reached with Ittierre. This partner guarantees experience and ability in craftsmanship, a fundamental element for collections designed by Karl Lagerfeld. We also appreciate Ittierre for its premium distribution network that is well-developed internationally.”
Antonio Bianchi, President and CEO of Ittierre SpA, commented: “We are enthusiastic about this new collaboration with one of the most important international fashion designers of the world. This new global agreement matches well the new development strategy that Ittierre wants to focus on. We want to present ourselves as specialized insiders of the high-end pret-à-porter market while constantly pursuing Ittierre’s tradition and leadership on the bridge to younger fashion segments.”
Moreover, the fashion house located in Paris announced that the new collection ‘Karl’ will be launched by January 25, 2012, via an own online shop on Net-à-Porter.com, starting with womenswear.
