Gandys celebrate new London headquarters
Gandys– the charity-driven flipflop label set up by British tsunami orphans Rob and Paul Forkan in 2011– is expanding. To make room for its growing staff force, the brand has moved into a new headquarter in London’s Southfields. The building, which used to serve as Liberty of London’s archive space, stretches across two floors over 4000 square foot and houses a showroom a design studio. To celebrate its new home, the team invited guests to an open day event to enjoy rainbow cake, a game of pinball and witness mayor of London Boris Johnson design his own pair of flipflops.
Gandys wares are currently available in the UK and has since 2013 been available at retailers such as Selfridges, Topman and Schuh. Next, the brand will launch globally in over 30 different countries. Collaborations form an important part of the business and for SS14 Gandys has teamed up with Liberty and Boy London.
