This season’s edition of Berlin’s Premium trade show had a good opening day at the Station/ Gleisdreieck yesterday. Presenting a mix of newcomers and established brands from womenswear, menswear, denim, sportswear, shoes and accessories, the results of the exhibition’s first day were positive: “We’ve had a lot of walk-in customers on our first day and a relaxed atmosphere. The audience was quite a mix of national and international people including lots of Swedes. The overall mood was quite positive and we were also able to write first orders. We feel in very good hands at Premium as it is a very high quality but cool fair,” said Silvia Westerhausen, sales manager for JBrand at Triple H agency.
The fair, which is at full capacity, seemed quite packed with visitors. Of its 800 brands and 1,400 collections, 25% are new exhibitors. “After several years at Bread & Butter, this is our first time at Premium. We moved here as we feel the status of our brand has become even higher and fits better to Premium’s assortment,” said Teresa Fernandez of Custo Barcelona. “We’ve had a good start with lots of people stopping by, new contacts and a few orders.”

In addition, the day before the start of the official fashion week schedule, Premium awarded the winners of its seasonal Young Designers Award, hosted at the F95 fashion store at Gleisdreick. The awards went to womenswear designer Julia Seregina, the menswear designer duo of Breaks London and the accessories label Kuboraum.
