Bad Münstereifel: a whole city center turns into outlet mall

On August 14, 2014, the City Outlet Bad Münstereifel opened its doors within the historic part of Bad Münstereifel, Germany. Over 70.000 visitors at the first weekend made it a successful start. For the first time in Germany, the outlet center concept is integrated into a historic city center. Around 40 fashion and lifestyle brands will be situated alongside the 800m pedestrian area between Orchheimer and Werther Tor.

Georg Cruse, member of the local investment group Bad Münstereifel Immobilien Management GmbH, states: “During the development and the building of the project it was obvious, that the historic city center will be part of the special charm of the City Outlet Bad Münstereifel. Moreover, the city will be revived through the new visitors and the trade revitalization.”

About 30 stores present fashion and leather brands like Gaastra, Bugatti, Street One, Tom Tailor and Garcia Jeans. Also multibrand stores like Robert Ley and Deerberg offer fashion and accessories from international brands. In the section for sports and outdoor, brands like Puma and Wellensteyn will be represented. Furthermore, Italian shoe brands Bagatt and Switzerland brand Luis Trenker will open their first German outlet shop in Bad Münstereifel. Throughout the entire year, the offers will range between 30 to 70% off the manufacturer’s prices.
