Asia’s biggest fashion fair Chic Beijing will once again show the creative power of the Asian market from March 26-29. The fair’s slogan “Crossing in Discovery” marks the 20th anniversary of the show, which will be held at the International Hall of Chic Beijing and will present foreign countries such as France, Italy, Germany and the USA in separate pavilions. Italy will stage three enormous joint pavilions: Seint, Chic's Italian agent, Camera de la Moda and the trendy avant-garde trade fair WHITE. The US will join Chic for the second time with ENK, this time with an enlarged pavilion. The organization of the German pavilion lays in the reliable hands of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. Asian pavilions from Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan will also show their fashion brands.

Chic Beijing aims to be the bridge into the Chinese consumer market. The fair will drive decisions as to which new fashion labels will be chosen for the mega shopping malls all across the country. In 2010 fashion exports from the European Union to China were noted at approximately 500 million USD, four times more than in 2009. Renowned consulting companies have announced predictions of further growth rates.

Chic Beijing offers 110.000 sqm of exhibition space, complete with 9 halls. About 1,100 exhibitors will show up at the fair, and some 110,000 visitors are expected including 1,500 registered journalists. Chen Dapeng, deputy president of the China National Garment Association and president of Chic Beijing, stated, “The scale of the development of Chic has come towards a conclusion in the last two years. The next phase will be the embodiment of the service value. Chic is the international meeting point for the fashion industry – the platform for exchanging fashion experience, the discovery of new labels and the crossover of trends and nations.”
