The Danish label Nosomnia, founded in 2015 by Jonas Bier, is on a mission: dressing mature men – classic, but yet urban.

The balance between these contrary styles is found in mixing and matching different textiles – jersey, cotton, wool, cashmere, nylon and many more  - prints and layers resulting in pieces like dress shirts without collars and coats in loud colors. A special attention is given to the fit of the garments, and further unexpected details are added to minimalistic design.

Started out as a small capsule including only three t-shirts, two crewnecks, one hoodie, a shirt and a jacket, the brand has brought out three full collections since then. Nosomnia’s “Distinguished” collection for fall/winter ‘16  expressed the brand’s image of “maturity, yet allowing room for an accent of energy through a print or a color” including 21 pieces in a rather “grown-up” dark color palette, but still representing youth in the details.

The new summer ‘17 collection delivers a similar vibe, yet in a slightly more colorful way including orange, beige and metallic tones. The look is fashionably understated, thereby forming an alternative to the last years’ bold streetwear trend.
