The Danish label Nosomnia, founded in 2015 by Jonas Bier, is on a mission: dressing mature men – classic, but yet urban.

The balance between these contrary styles is found in mixing and matching different textiles – jersey, cotton, wool, cashmere, nylon and many more  - prints and layers resulting in pieces like dress shirts without collars and coats in loud colors. A special attention is given to the fit of the garments, and further unexpected details are added to minimalistic design.

Started out as a small capsule including only three t-shirts, two crewnecks, one hoodie, a shirt and a jacket, the brand has brought out three full collections since then. Nosomnia’s “Distinguished” collection for fall/winter ‘16  expressed the brand’s image of “maturity, yet allowing room for an accent of energy through a print or a color” including 21 pieces in a rather “grown-up” dark color palette, but still representing youth in the details.

The new summer ‘17 collection delivers a similar vibe, yet in a slightly more colorful way including orange, beige and metallic tones. The look is fashionably understated, thereby forming an alternative to the last years’ bold streetwear trend.

The pieces are available via select retailers like Eliminator in Tokyo or Bjork and Stole the Snow in Florence as well as their e-shop with retail prices ranging from 100€ for a T-Shirt up to 850€ for a jacket.
