CEO, Chris Vroman explains: “In creating this brand, we wanted to make sure we stood for something, told an authentic story and designed a piece of clothing that was special. The Exley man is a part of a new generation of consumers who care about the reason things exist, how his clothing is made and is intelligent about his purchases. We have laid a groundwork based on integrity, where our product speaks for itself.”
Exley’s clothing should be both timeless and functional. Created with precision and attention to detail all items are made out of top quality materials such as Permaloft for insulation, Staywax for weatherproofing and Riri zippers for a finishing touch.
“Living in New England, we draw inspiration from our surroundings every day, from the architecture in the city to the coastal activities and scenery,” states Head Designer, Annie Campbell. “Our process is always to design for the man who dresses with both purpose and style.”
For its debut collection, the inspiration is resurfaced with a purposeful focus on outerwear that shows itself in the neutral color palette as well as in the design features, such as the signature grosgrain ribbon and angular tailoring. For this winter, the collection focuses on layering and contains of silhouettes for this purpose such as the Apex Shirt Jacket with snap front placket closure, welt pockets and French seam lining in the interior and the Pullover Shell, a raglan pullover with fixed hood, kangaroo pocket, fishtail back hem and quilted hood under-layer. The Topcoat is a classic overcoat with a generous collar, front panel pintuck detail and French horn buttons that comes in port, dull rust, charcoal and light ash colorways.
The line will be available at select retailers such as Odin New York, Atrium (NY) American Rag (LA), Unionmade (San Francisco), Martin Patrick 3 (Minneapolis), and H. Stockton Park Place (Atlanta) as well as online and retails from $395.00 to $895.00.
